Zerilo privacy policy
Effective date: October 7, 2026. Developer: Estiven Meneses.
Local processing Zerilo reads the active tab URL and checks tabs, history, bookmarks and download records to identify items associated with the selected website's domain. It uses Chrome browsingData APIs to clear site data for identified origins when you request cleanup. Results are displayed locally.
Zerilo does not collect information for its developer or transmit browser information to servers. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising, trackers or remote code. It does not sell or share user data. There is no developer database of browsing activity. Only language and theme preferences are stored in the extension's local storage.
Permissions and use Tabs: identify the current site and close matching tabs before cleanup. History: find and delete matching URLs. Bookmarks: find and delete matching bookmarks. Downloads: find and erase matching download records; files remain on disk. BrowsingData: remove cookies, cache, Cache Storage, local storage, IndexedDB, file systems and service workers for identified origins. These permissions are used only for the user-facing site cleanup feature.
Control and limits Opening the popup does not delete data. The user reviews the domain and preview, then starts cleanup explicitly. Cleanup is irreversible. Chrome does not expose every origin with stored data, so unknown origins may retain data. Zerilo cannot guarantee zero traces. It does not remove downloaded files, saved passwords, website permissions, server data or sessions on other domains. Reopening a website may create new data. Uninstalling Zerilo removes its local preferences.
Limited Use Zerilo's use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information is used exclusively to provide the site cleanup requested by the user.
